Aqualand
An afternoon tour of the

-
Designing formal water
features presented by Joel Reinders;
-
Energy-efficient
lighting design, presented by Darin Ayers
-
Rainwater Harvesting,
presented by Ed Beaulieu of Aquascape
What is
Aqualand? "Aqualand is a 256,000 square foot eco-friendly building
that houses office and warehouse space for Aquascape. The roof is the
largest sloping green roof in North America, planted with native prairie
grass and flowers and a complete irrigation system. The eastern
floor-to-ceiling glass windows are 15 feet tall at the southern end, and 40
feet tall at the northern end. A custom water wall, designed by Terry Martin
and Greg Wittstock, greets visitors upon entering Aqualand. The bamboo
forest in the reception area ties in with the bamboo flooring. Aqualand is
truly a workplace utopia and the embodiment of Aquascape spirit and culture
- building a balance in life that stimulates the mind, challenges the body,
and nurtures the spirit."
AquaTerra
An evening tour of the
facility which includes the landscaping and water features, and as the sun
sets behold the extensive lighting.
Adult beverages and hors
d'oeuvres served.
